My name is Lucas, and I’m the creator of ROO. I’m a husband and a proud father of three amazing kids, and I couldn’t have started this journey without the support of my wife. The name ROO comes from the kangaroo, inspired by the built-in pouch design that keeps your shin guards locked in place.

I created ROO because of my own struggles as a soccer player. I can still remember sliding shin guards under compression pants, taping them down, or using pre-wrap to keep them from shifting. It was frustrating, distracting, and honestly took away from the joy of just playing the game. I knew there had to be a better way — so I built ROO to give players gear that works with them, not against them.

But ROO is more than just a product. It’s built from a love for the game of soccer and a belief that every player deserves to step on the field with confidence, focus, and freedom. Our mission is simple: to remove the small frustrations so you can lock in, play free, and perform your best from the first whistle to the last.
